What's the deal with airline food?

Posted by Wegra - October 20th, 2013

Seriously I don't get it. Oh and here's another comic con pic

What's the deal with airline food?

Comments

How much do you pay to those nice ladies to take pics with you?

They're free

Newgrounds shirt spotted.

Tom will eat well this month

Got that like last year or so. Proud of it too :)

The deal's no good any more, it's not free like it used to be! Least not here.

Nice, Chun Li?

@Cyberdevil yep

@S3C t y

@Cyberdevil No problem, sorry about the late response

@Cyberdevil Wait when was airplane food free anyway? Not counting peanuts and the little snacks they give? Although I remember getting bagels on a flight once for free, that was based

@S3C Ah just a few years or so though, it's all good

@S3C Hmm, actually I have no idea if it ever was... when we flew overseas when I was smaller food was always included, but I don't know if you paid for it or no. You had a tray with all the essentials though, a cup of water, some juice, some kind of small sealed meal, dessert, plastic utensils... I really miss that shizzle. Never understood why people didn't like airplane food. You can't really find a better place to eat than way above the clouds. Everything tastes better.

Some airlines here still have free drinks btw. LOT give out free snacks. BRA have free breakfast. It's not all gone after all...

@Cyberdevil

I've never heard anyone complain of airplane food. "What's the deal with airline food" is a standup joke from one of the worst comedians of all time, Jerry Seinfeld, who happened to star in the titular sitcom Seinfeld, the greatest American sitcom of all time.

@S3C

Oh, that's where it all started... might've become a stereotype since. Your taste buds perceive taste differently at higher altitudes, generally food doesn't taste as much as it usually does, as such I thought there might be some truth to saying, though I myself have just never noticed a difference. With my own food or with what they provide. All tastes great. Good to know though. Also: watched Seinfeld like crazy for a while during my great TV show binge of... early 2010's maybe. Twasn't all bad! Maybe not the best main actor in a show but: enjoyable characters.
