Now that you mention it. You’re probably right! But to be honest it was Hilleburg who stupidly told Nickelodeon not to recast the characters (a fate worse than killing off a character) so now that the creator is no longer with us they could further dishonor his grave by recasting the characters if they wanted to. While it might make the show a little better it probably would’ve been a better choice to end the show.
