And the lyrics aren't trying to be edgy, if they were trying to be edgy it wouldn't end on a positive note :p

No, actually it was originally designed for "Eddsworld: The Movie", but it wasn't used. It was supposed to be for when a certain beloved character dies (I won't say who).

yeah man, that was me on the vocals! honestly, I had some drinks before recording.

I did the bass, guitar and the vocals, and the drum track is just a drum kit sample

It's pretty common! Some EDM producers use animal growls for most of their tracks. You wouldn't be able to tell though, since it's just uses the sound texture.
